we might add "only from pages i follow" at some point but that's harder, this is easy, we're doing this first.

i'm honestly really proud of our implementation here even though it's pretty Uncomplicated. i'll post more details once it's live this week

notification filtering is now live!

there's a known bug where notifications can be duplicated when filtering out likes and follows, but the fix for that is in the deploy pipe right now and should be live in like an hour.

i'm, personally, very glad we have this now. hopefully it's helpful for y'all too

b) obviously there's like a billion possible levels of granularity here and some can't make the cut but it would be nice to have an option for non-empty shares specifically. like if I don't care about the metrics but just want to see if someone's added anything new

that's what "replies" is! we still don't have a great term for "shares with content" but that's what we're using for profile filtering as well

I saw this popping up on my feed and went to the settings to poke at it. but it's not there! I then realized, based on the proportion of the box in the screenshots, it was probably in the sidebar of the notification page. and it is, which is fine, but I think maybe it should either be duplicated in the settings, or the settings should contain a quick note that those settings are on the notification page. It's been pretty consistent that everything can be adjusted from there until now, after all.
