you can always tell when we deploy a change because the site gets comically slow for like 30 seconds. i still haven't figured out exactly why this happens but oh well.

Well, eggbug has to get the papers back out on the desk after you've put them in neat piles, y'know
Just a quick bubble sort in the lock file for some reason 👍
Maybe correlated, but I did recently get a cache timeout error from varnish maybe when this was happening:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<title>503 first byte timeout</title>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Error 503 first byte timeout</h1>
<p>first byte timeout</p>
<h3>Error 54113</h3>
<p>Details: cache-bfi-kbfi7400082-BFI 1687810979 771201409</p>
<hr>
<p>Varnish cache server</p>
</body>
</html>
unrelated issue although i think i figured out why the site went down TWICE today now
