would love if it was possible to have something similar to the heavily-optimized, automated systems that exist for media piracy also exist for legally obtained shit. i want a tool that automatically downloads my most recent bandcamp purchases, tags them correctly, and throws them into the correct place on my server. it's a manual process and that sucks, because manual processes are ones that i forgot to do, ESPECIALLY if i buy something on my phone or otherwise away from my home network.

does this exist? am i missing something? am i gonna have to make it myself? unsure!

in reply to @jkap's post:

If you already have Plex you can add a music library and it pulls some data for bandcamp albums when you drop them in.

It would be good for a glue solution if you already have something handling the download.

bandcamp especially! The zip file full of files with absurdly long names and no subdirectories at all, so it becomes this create the directories by hand and unix shell scrip bullshit to rename the files to something that can be displayed successfully when going to listen to them!
