in 2013 i went as a Race Horse That Won. had one of those horrific horse masks that were all the rage a decade ago. a fake plant/flowgarland around my neck like a scarf, vaguely reminiscent of a blanket of roses. a t-shirt with my horse's name on it (Buff Danger) written upside down, so that if anyone said "hey why is written upside down" i could look down and say "it looks right to me??? what are you talking about".
anyway this was my first halloween in minnesota and i was not prepared for it to be cold. it was cold. i borrowed my partner at the time's giant faux fur coat (i think they went as a tanuki) to walk to the party we were going to, which honestly just sold the Horse look even more.
this isn't my favorite but it is one that i liked. turns out 20 was like the exact peak of me just Doing Whatever and not being especially concerned about it.
