i've been really enjoying cities skylines 2 thus far. it's got flaws that will get shaped out with mods (just annoyances, nothing core) but the road system alone is SUCH a huge upgrade over the first game that it's worth the upgrade for me, let alone the additional zoning types, specialized industry, etc. also happy to see improvements to pedestrian-only infrastructure (being able to zone on pedestrian roads is HUGE) and, while i know it's controversial, parking being a consideration is legitimately good and forces you to consider How Fucking Huge Parking Is and build other options accordingly.
that said, it turns out i'm still kind of garbage at the actual planning/layout parts of it all. i never have a good sense of where things should go so all my cities turn into a sprawling, poorly thought out mess. not 100% sure how to get over this hump but until then i'm just gonna keep building garbage cities like my life depends on it
reminded myself that actual cities kinda suck too so as long as i can get a better feel for Starting i can probably freestyle it a bit
