watching my wife play the pac man world remake. they’re in some sort of jungle level. this is miserable looking. the music is bad. i know i'm usually a 3d platform hater but this is beyond the pale. fucking awful game. i hope your wife stays kidnapped idiot

The original game was pretty alright and was what made me want to get into gamedev when I was a little kid. But then the remake like, sucked ALL the charm and personality out of the entire game (disclaimer: this game would absolutely not inspire me to do gamedev now. i was like 4 and the unlockable concept art gallery blew my mind)
The only thing the remake improved upon was the ruins world boss. As a kid I thought it was really difficult and then playing it again as an adult made me realize it was just actually the more poorly designed boss I have encountered in a video game to date
