now that i can move my 3d printer (ender 3 v2) out of my cramped and hot closet, i'm putting in the effort to get it Working again. unfortunately, it is literally impossible for me to square the X gantry. i have tried maybe a dozen times at this point. can't be done. i have been able to adequately level the bed to compensate for this but it still frustrates me. think i have binding there too.
part of my incentive here is so that i can print the parts for my polaroid 110a instax conversion and thus not spend money on them. i am at this moment printing the World's Okayest Benchy, which is still the best i've been able to accomplish in months.
what a hobby
despite what people claim i remain unconvinced that it's actually possible to have a level X gantry with only one Z motor/lead screw, so i am relenting and just buying a second motor and printing some mechanical endstops to do a prusa-style Mechanical Calibration (stalling the steppers out at the top for fun and profit). i am hoping this at least fixes some of my problems. or at least gives me new ones, i'm getting tired of these problems.
THE FUCKING EXTRUSION IS BENT UPWARDS AND THAT'S WHY IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IT LEVEL WITH ONLY ONE Z STEPPER!!!!!!
i've swapped to dual-z and a board with separate drivers for each and just fuckin. barely loosened everything up enough that the motors/calibration/bltouch can compensate for the warped extrusions and it's fine now! everything is working perfectly! god damn it!
anyway now that that's fixed i can start doing the Fun Parts of klipper

). i'm running klipper and it's got a G34 equivalent. looking forward to getting it all glued together
