mobile redesign is done pending final review. it's good. it feels good to use. the menu is no longer first thing on the screen. i hope y'all like it, i think it's Really Good but i recognize that the bar is so low than any improvement is gonna be better.
i also appreciate aidan, when talking about how the current design is bad, not saying the truth, which is "jae designed it and they're a fucking moron. i'm in charge now." thank you aidan for lying to save my dignity.

we normally try not to tease things early like this but i am so fucking excited about the mobile redesign that it's hard to resist in this case.
yep! wanted to get part 1 (the new page switcher and top bar design) out first since they were mostly independent of everything else.
Looking forward to it!! Since you guys won't have a mobile app for the foreseeable future a good mobile web experience is Critical imo
agreed, and the mobile experience is something we're continuing to work on going forward. lot to go but this will make a huge difference i think.
honestly i live on my phone and have found it mostly usable in its current state (i certainly havenโt wanted to throw my phone in rage or anything) so idk thatโs a kudos to jae from me and iโm very excited to see where weโre going from here!!
also speaking of new features, are you guys interested in implementing the view transition API at some point? it is still in early stages and locked behind a feature flag, but it allows you to make page transitions smooooooth, but the three people on here who know it exists can't hack it together themselves because the <meta name="view-transition" content="same-origin"> tag is not present and you need that on multi page apps :(
