something about dwarf fortress gore is very funny to me, probably because (especially old df) it's just red ascii. it's all extrapolation from text and a thousand bright red tildes and a single dwarf in a minecart spinning around at mach speed accidentally becoming a dwarven meat grinder
Something about the way the dwarfs only indirectly do what you say, in their own time, as long as someone else isn't more important to them, helps with the detachment too.
this is completely off-topic, but as an apprentice-dev and the gdpr-guy at our work, i love how y’all have done your consent dialogs. i see so many bad implementations at work it’s baffling
we're actually using a service provider for this (iframely) and the consent dialogs are their doing but i agree that they're very very well done
