i just started churning a New Flavor (test batch is also the one i'm serving lol): peppermint chocolate chip, which i think should be fine but is also almost guaranteed gonna need tweaking for a second batch. i gotta hang out in my kitchen to babysit it so i can add the peppermint candy chunks and chocolate chips in time

the thing about my ice cream is i use the same base for everything which means all experimentation is "what goes in the base," since the base itself is perfect.

i will post Photos and Tasting Notes once it's done.

as a jew, my favorite things about christmas are all food related

and they are:

white fudge covered oreos¹
chocolate peppermint stuff

the goyim keep letting me down b/c i can not for the fucking life of me find these at stores anymore. i found one box at target a month ago and then nothing. i found zero boxes last year. i am in hell

hell yeah i love to make ice cream! the peanut butter ice cream i made was so powerful, as soon as its warm out i will be back on my bullshit.

@cloudbody also makes homemade ice cream sometimes but they like to do weird flavors. So far we've had Baja Blast (which I liked a lot) and Malört (which I didn't like, but this random kid at the Bark that we gave a taste to was into it).

there's some decent JoJos covered in assorted fudges at Trader Joe's if those would satisfy your needs

those white fudge covered oreos are the absolute best variety of oreo and I wish they weren't seasonal. I was able to find them at bi-mart but that chain is extremely regional to portland so that's probably unhelpful, but I can confirm they haven't been discontinued
