as the title says, we are all very tired here at the sleepiest company on this godforsaken earth. also colin got covid for the second time in this company’s lifespan, which is wack as hell. short patch notes this week.
- fixed some bugs around the autoresizing text input used for posts and comments
- fixed yet another reference to “projects”, a concept which literally only exists in code
- fixed some New And Fun post composer bugs that would crash the entire page but only sometimes
- made some improvements to our backend data flow, hopefully unblocking the main thread while rendering pages
- unfortunately: javascript remains single threaded and we are forced to deal with the performance limitation therein
coming up on cohost
- COLIN: getting over the last of his second infection with the novel coronavirus of 2019 (2022 rmx), wrapping up work on the moderation dashboards so we can punish you for bad/illegal posts
- AIDAN: behind-the-scenes design system improvements so that the new launch materials look as good as possible. she did not sleep very well last night.
- JAE: their sleep meds suddenly stopped working and so they’ve only been averaging 6 hours a night for the last business week and are thus unsure what they’re working on right now. they’ll probably figure it out
