ok i realize it might be silly to say "the title track of this album is secretly the best one!" but The Loneliest Time is the best song on the album of the same name, and it's also the last track on the album so it's not unreasonable to call it a sleeper.
yes Beach House is fun, i like it quite a bit, The Loneliest Time is better
I found the song through TikTok and though I am not generally a fan of that musical style, "The Loneliest Time" is an unmitigated bop and Carly Rae Jepsen is a treasure
"it's also the last track on the album" btw not to be that guy but the deluxe version of the album has three additional tracks added onto the end and they're some of my faves on the entire album, so i would also highly recommend checking them out -- i was like "how the hell did these not get included by default." but i guess b-sides that kick a surprising amount of ass has always been CRJ's thing
anyway, the 4-song punch of loneliest time, anxious, no thinking over the weekend, and keep away is killer, imo.

Beach House is a fun one off, but it doesn't fit the vibe of the album overall.
I like The Lonliest Time a lot more, but Surrender My Heart is my favorite track from the album.
Edit - never mind, it's Taking To Yourself
I remember seeing Rufus Wainwright as an opener at a show, and I find him very confusing for some reason. I cannot tell how I feel about his work ever
100% agree honestly. i love beach house because it's fun to have a bit of a divergence from the normal "carly rae pop" but its def not the best
