live service game subreddits are such a fucking nightmare. i am here to get News about the game that i play but 99% of posts are either complaining via text posts or complaining via the least funny memes you can possibly imagine. i'm not on twitter and that's where most of the News happens so i'm out of the loop. send help

mmmhmm. fortnite seems pretty bad, esp with the devs approach sometimes. destiny is just the absolute worst because (extended 20 minute rant about the history of destiny) -and the game STILL doesn't have loadouts because of all of this, so yeah

My main experience has been not on Reddit, but rather the official forums of games. The forums for Halo are a dumpsterfire of cynicism and the Bungie Forums are people complaining about or requesting stuff. I don’t have a Reddit account, but merelt scrolling thru the Reddit for a handful of games I play has turned me off the idea entirely

As a former live service game reddit mod, I feel this in my bones. I'd say the solution is a srs only subreddit away from the main one, but really a Discord webhook run by a fansite does a way better job than Reddit could anyway.
