the whole reason #The Cohost Local Feed (Tallahassee) exists is because i've long been annoyed by people in Large Cities posting (mostly on twitter) as if everyone lives there and their content is relevant to every single person1. this has become less of a thing but was obnoxious as hell to me for years. i have long strove to do the same thing but with tallahassee and i finally have my own website where i can inflict that on everyone.

that said i encourage everyone to create a cohost local feed for their area. together we can create a Worse Yelp. it'll be fun i promise.

  1. it is known that new yorkers are incapable of knowing there are Other Cities, but i actually noticed this problem most with san francisco and seattle residents. this probably says more about who i was following though, as i just don't know that many people in new york.

in reply to @jkap's post:

I had my first incredible New York bagel recently and it wasn’t a religious experience but I’m gonna pretend it was to start fights and prove how superior I am and also to ignore that my building has a lead water main

new york def beats us on bagels, and also all jewish food. we are suffering down here. i need to move to west palm beach (jae only does this when they're very distressed)

when i actually lived in the SF bay area i fell into this habit and when i moved back to florida had to drop it Immediately b/c people (justifiably) assumed i was talking about tampa bay

Kinds reminds me of most americans doing it for their country versus literally anywhere else lol

Been trying to do that with Brighton & Hove with #brighton but maybe I should use that tag format to hopefully make it more obvious?
