i tend to go pretty simple on sauces. big fan of rao's jarred stuff, will usually just season that a bit more and add some pasta water. it's good and low effort. i am very tired all the time so low effort is ideal.

Pro Tip: add a small number of peppercorns and simmer for some number of minutes so they're a little softer

a little handful works fine, they don't flavor the sauce outside the peppercorn especially much but they do provide Highly Peppery Moments

yeah, it’s def not cheap, but it’s on sale pretty often at publix and my costco has it fairly often as well so i stock up when i can
