started writing this for the private alt but fuck it: ending the year incredibly angry at this horrorshow of an industry where all my marketable skills reside, on behalf of all the people it discarded like trash to save itself from the consequences of its own incompetence, and by "it" i mean the people running these companies, most of whom aren't qualified to run a toaster oven. i've never seen so many talented people searching for work at once, staring down the uncertain future created for so many by such a small number of useless pricks. may the new year bring a reversal of these fortunes, and allow all of us to breathe easier.
long live the creative spirit of our workers, and may we triumph in our struggle against the capitalists who have inserted themselves between us and the true value of what we create. and long live the creative medium of games, within which so many more things are possible, still, than are recognized by the narrow confines of the current industry.
