as someone with the constant irrational unassailable certainty that you are loathed, it's weird to end up known to enough people on the internet that there are many who actually quite unambiguously can't stand you, and you would think this would be a purely negative thing, but in a way it kinda helps to get some contrast in there. the brain can be like: why would all these folks privately dislike you when all these folks do it publicly. why bother
