I'm a game developer, professionally!

You may know me from things like: Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, The Museum of Mechanics: Lockpicking, Gone Home, Bioshock 2, or maybe something else.

Right now I work as a Technical Narrative Designer at Remedy Entertainment in Stockholm, Sweden

Perhaps there are other aspects of my personality that may also be revealed here on this website

Due to a long, boring story, the bikes that I had specially shipped out to coincide with our arrival didn't show up until nearly a year later. But now I'm biking around the city! My first long term European biking experience!

It's pretty great. The city infrastructure includes many physically separate bike paths, and when that's not available there are lanes and/or, most critically, a culture of respecting cyclists. Drivers are SO careful here - not just of bikes, but they're just really considerate in general. I've heard the driver exam is incredibly hardcore, perhaps that's why.

Many people bike here, there's racks at many places and apartment buildings and offices usually have bike rooms for indoor storage. It's fun to see that it's not a weird subculture but something that cuts across class and age boundaries - I will never get tired of the sight of middle aged men in suits wearing bike helmets and trouser clips as they cycle across town.

The biggest barrier is the weather - it gets very icy here and while lots of people continue to bike when it's below freezing it's too scary and unpleasant for me. Plus snowbanks will accumulate everywhere and they make it hard! But the non-winter times are wonderful. It's no Amsterdam or even Copenhagen, but it's miles better than SF or even Portland.
