It had been something of a favourite for me, way back when. It's an album to leave you disoriented and exhausted - and, coming back to it, I see how it had influenced me. Not "accepting what you cannot change" so much as "pleading that there may be someone who can create that change; questioning why it even is that you cannot." Its portrayal of the experience of reincarnation (one conceptual note among hundreds fired in scattershot) may have made me cry. Queer music. 'Strange aeon' music.
