Furry Black History: Deal Whitley

The creator of Opporknockitytoons and High Orbit, Charles "Deal" Whitley was an influential cartoonist with a paw in Rowrbrazzle. The comic anthologies to which he contributed are credited as some of the earliest examples of furry self-publication, and introduced the subgenre of funny animals intended for adult audiences. His character, Topher, the worlds cutest otter, served as inspiration for characters by Steve Gallacci, Ken Sample, and many more.
