I warmed slowly to the first book, and perhaps I should have re-read it before hopping into book 2. But, book 2 is wild and good and crazy and interesting, and I really enjoyed it!
There's still a lot of mysterious stuff that is only hinted at, but the hints are "stronger"? And the art is still great and I wonder if this is getting in the way of new issues of Monstress? Weirdly I've grown a bit tired of Monstress...it's really hard for me to keep track of what's going on and it feels like it's jumped the shark...but this book! Wow. So far so great!
