Keeping track of comic books I read

  • he/him

I'm just experimenting with a sort of journal where I keep track of the comic books I've been reading. I won't promise any insights - and we'll see how this goes. Comments and suggestions welcome, but keep it friendly.

Found this one, and having (sort of) recently read Vol. 1 I though I'd give it a go.

I start reading and...stuff seems familiar. So, different publisher meant there was some overlap between vol 1 and 2... Sigh. I don't understand how/why that would happen (I would have thought the chapters in each volume would have been standardized/required by the original publisher?). Anyways. At least the format is a little bit bigger, so it's easier to read.

Strangely, though this volume introduced a bunch of new things (characters and so on), it deviated from the stuff I liked in vol.1 (the worldbuilding, the tech, the cyberpunk + weird demon magic stuff) - so...uh. I don't think I'll bother trying to find more volumes of this unless they sort of literally land in my lap for free and there's nothing else I'd rather read more urgently?

I'm making it sound like this was terrible. It's not. It's just not THAT much my cup of tea. Art is fine and all the rest.

I'm guessing modern readers might find it a bit dated?
