yo I was rewatching Avatar and how did nobody ever pick up that smellerbee is trans?? like there is explicitly a moment where she gets misgendered, corrects someone, then gets upset about it and is consoled with the knowledge that it doesn't matter who others think she is because she knows who she is.
also iroh is an ally. immediately corrects himself.
