Phyrexian Chalice - One Colorless, One Blue Phyrexian Mana

Legendary Phyrexian Artifact Creature

Tap Phyrexian Chalice and sacrifice a creature: draw a card

They say that through the halls of New Phyrexia's Surgical Bay, you can hear the tik-tak of the Phrexian Chalice scuttling to and fro, arriving to baptize the bodies of newly compleated Phyrexians with the glistening oil.

I showed this to my wife who is a ceramic artist (that also happens to play MtG), and she went over why this piece is cool, the difficulty of the legs, and the beautiful glaze work. I did a bit more research, and it is from a collection called crawler pots. The artist does a much better job discussing the pieces than I ever could, so please check them out here!

"To me this project is inherently trans. It may not be as direct and clear-cut as some of my other work which references transness in very direct ways often even putting ‘trans’ right on the pot in words. The crawler pots are more conceptually trans. They’re all about changing bodies, different bodies and the subversion of what a body can look like and be."

Rose Schmits is so cool! She's the technician on The Great Pottery Throwdown, which I don't watch but I hear about. There's a real lack of trans people on British TV, I couldn't name many others. I didn't realise she made such interesting pottery as well!
