a good thing for me to remember in art making is the different value and feelings i get from a 1 day project vs a project that takes multiple days and has to stew for awhile through different iterations
1 day projects gives a v nice feeling of just like hey i can let this be loose and fun and get this thing done start to finish and get that satisfaction of creating something that didn’t exist at the beginning of the day
multiple day projects remind me to think more about different skills to hone whether that is composition, knowing the tools i am using and how best to use them, or just the challenges of doing something i’ve never done before and letting that pay off in a slower fashion
neither is better than the other and the obvious challenge for multiple day projects is the potential of never finishing it (zooms in on an unfinished painting on my bedroom wall)
anyway both have value and i’m gonna try my best to be intentionally practicing both
