once again at the tabksgiving crossroads, the only american holiday that isnt super commercialised except for i guess grocery stores and big turkey. a holiday about coming together and giving thanks to things in your life and people around is unique for american holidays ehich are usaully about some guy and either have no celeberation or are expected to buy plastic shit to decorate places. Somehow yhanksgiving isnt about all that uniquely, but on the other hand it remains as a monument to the begining of long and bloody colonization and oppresion of the indian people. every year i feel conflicted about this holiday but i do think its modern celebration is pretty removed from its origin but idk if thats enough.
