Anonymous asked:
How open would you be to someone making a third party mobile app?
in general: very

we don't have a public facing API yet and we'd ask that anyone making a client hold off until there is one. we're going to allow third party clients, but the public API release will likely have a separate terms of use that we haven't written yet. our main priorities are maintaing site performance/integrity, and maintaining user privacy. any terms would exist to protect those.

also we obviously can't really help you if a fruit company gets mad about porn in the app.

I suggest anyone looking for an "app" experience just add the Cohost website to your home screen as a Chrome/Firefox/Safari shortcut.

It shows up on your home screen just like any app, and at least on Chrome for Android, it caches some important site data permanently so it loads faster and removes the URL bar for an app-like user experience (although you can still copy your current URL from the notification shade). Has been working great for me so far.
