Room - Empty Cavern, Library

"That's weird," thought an uneasy Doddot as the runes faded away behind her. It took her until the next, empty cavern to organize a follow-up to that. "I should get some smart people down here."

So she did. Doddot organized the construction of a library, the very first room you should consider when establishing a hold in this day and age. After the library was completed, Doddot intended to dedicate it with a bottle of expensive grog, but picked up a spell jar instead. It smashed, releasing dozens of ethereal, fist-sized hearts. They float like jellyfish around the library, revitalizing the spirits of those who touch them but mostly acting a nuisance.

The moment that first set of arcane textbooks hit the freshly-painted shelves, mages began to submit applications for residence in the Dimmorc hold.

The Hold

  • Library - +5 Mage capacity, a Good Magic: Nurse's Sigil (when Units move through this square, they recover all of their STR).

Resources

  • Resources - 8/50 ( +3 from 2♥️ + 1st level depth, -15 from building Library )
  • Trade Goods - 20/50
  • Soldiers - 5/X
  • Mages - 0/5

World Notes

  • Doddot Dimorc - The ostensible protagonist mining the caves beneath her family hold. A bit dim herself.

Takeaways

  • Flying immediately and unerringly toward a magic system? I'm a predictable, arcane glutton.
  • What a heartful round.
