Queen of Tarts

A small watercolour painting of a teabag, surrounded by pasted-on tea leaves. The teabag's label reads '1'. In the teabag, a stone corridor leads to a glowing, anatomical heart. The tea leaves are deep, dark red and black, with some scattered red and brown bits.

All Along the Water Tower

A small watercolour painting of a teabag, surrounded by pasted-on tea leaves. The teabag's label reads '2'. In the teabag, an earthenware path meanders along a cliffside. The sky is bright blue above. The tea leaves are mostly green and grassy or brown and barky, with occasional glimpses of blue flowers.

Jasmine and Lavender

A small watercolour painting of a teabag, surrounded by pasted-on tea leaves. The teabag's label reads '3'. In the teabag, pink, white and blue fireworks shoot through an evening sky. The tea leaves are rich, dark green coils and small lavender buds. Not herbal, strictly, but available and easy on the nostrils.

Spruce tips, juniper berries, and lemon peel

A small watercolour painting of a teabag, surrounded by pasted-on tea leaves. The teabag's label reads '4'. In the teabag, a fallen log laysin a dark forest, moss growing up the sides of some of the trees. The tea around is made of spruce tips, dark violet berries, and hunks of lemon rind.

Original zine Deconstructed Herbal Tea by @eladnarra.

Sometimes, you just want to do arts and crafts.

I was musing on doing a cozy little arts and crafts project this evening when I remembered that I've had a zine from @eladnarra pinned for about four months now!

Perfect. I love a good cuppa.

Deconstructed herbal tea is a zine that lets you explore herbal teas and make a booklet out of them. The zine itself is short and sweet - you choose your teas, paste them to a page, and write down notes about their aroma. When done, you bind them together (with the prudent advice to ziploc it, given tea can be quite bitsy). It's cute, it's silly, it's fun.

The zine itself is free to download, along with Ela's other zones, here. I couldn't find a way to kick her any money on either itch or her link tree, so the best I've got for now is the low low cost of a shoutout!

Ela is also active here on cohost! She posts regularly about accessibility and Star Wars on her main account, @eladnarra. She also plays and reviews solo games on a secondary account @SolitaryQuest. Check 'em out!

Let's (tea) party.
