had some insane dreams while knocked out on nyquil including one where professional baseketball was played on a 2-level, tile based court.
the game starts with all ten players on the top level. every time the ball touches one of the tiles, it disappears, revealing the court underneath. If the ball falls to the first floor while no one is down there, its out of bounds.
the first player from each team to fall below is eliminated from the match. Any further players that fall will stay down there. Once one player from each team has fallen (and is not eliminated), the second plane becomes active and the ball can be passed between either side (but usually the ball simply falls down to the lower level.)
purposefully falling down to the lower level is a foul. there is a lot of controversy around this rule as its essentially ref discretion and people fake it (like flopping in soccer, it can be gamed)
