back in 2020 or so i predicted that partial office conversions would take place- with companies either courting tech firms for satalite hybrid offices or offices themselves 'leasing' out the converted floors to a third party for restaurants & housing (which would be 'desirable' since your 'commute' is an elevator)

On one hand it is wild to me how alien the idea of "splitting rent" is to people but on the other there's so many landlords, especially institutional landlords, that won't let you around here. It's actually fucked.
