What if the most elegant and cool woman you ever met fell in love with a triangle magnet?
A couple months after I moved to Boston, my new job had a Halloween costume contest at work. I thought this was a really fun idea, so I decided to make a Lapis cosplay. I bought a blue dress and a correct-looking blue gem and I taped the blue gem to the middle of my back. My hair was long enough it mostly covered the blue gem so no one could see it, also nobody looks at your back when they are interacting with you, they look at your face. Literally nobody turned out to know who Lapis was and because the rock was hard to notice it was unclear I was wearing a costume at all. I still think it was a good cosplay though. I forget if I have told you this story before.
A bunch of the music from the movie came up while I was listening to a generated YouTube mix and I was like. Damn. This stuff fucking fucks
Yes!! Yes it does! And that's sort of what happened to me is I saw a clip on fuckin my TikTok feed randomly and it was like. "oh shit this show was good actually". imperfect, but good! i feel like it ended and the entire queer internet worked as fast as possible to memory hole it for its issues but like. it's a good cartoon!!!
Bonding over a shared feeling of "I don't want to be the main character, I want to be friends with the main character" which honestly same
