i cannot focus for absolute beans lately. i can't make shit, i can't write shit, i've barely been able to even get work done. it's not like i'm off meds or anything i just. can't get my brain to start.
any tips on this, gamers? how do i actually go and like. do shit.
What happens for me that causes this is I develop a tolerance for my ADHD meds and they stop working :(
My first try was going to higher doses, but I eventually ran out of higher doses to go to, so what I do now is switch between Concerta and Adderall every ~6 months. Which only works because they're both ok for me, I realize that's not true for many people.
oof ding dang. alright. i have no idea when my next appointment with my psychiatrist is. i know concerta's off the table because that shit makes me Depressed but i'll look into it.
I am literally the only person I've ever heard of doing this, so I have no idea if it's a weird my-body-specific thing or if I've invented a powerful new technique lots of people should be doing. Good luck!
It sounds similar to a pain management practice I've heard called opiate rotation. I'm surprised it's not a more generally recommended practice for tolerance-building medications
Right, the question is: are these meds tolerance building in other people or is that a quirk of my brain chem?
Exercise and making sure I'm not missing key nutrients (I use a supplement powder called enof) have been a couple of things on my checklist, but they're by no means surefire
exercise is the most difficult part but i'm working on it. gonna look into that supplement powder, autistic texture associations means my food habits are Not Good.
