The nature of federation interferes with that. Aliasing isn't supported by the protocol
allegedly something called "monsterpit" did have plural-specific functionality but it also had to shut down due to racist harassment which uh cool great social network you guys this'll work really well as a twitter replacement!
Oh yeah multiple_creatures ran monsterpit for a long time. Black plural trans woman who just quietly custom modified her server for years and didn't talk much just moderated and made a nice little community. We talked sometimes and she was really cool and nice. And the same crowd who went after Snouts.online decided she was a freak and drove her off. The anti-Black racism on mastodon was severe like for every individual Black person there's some unrelated reason they were supposedly cancellable but like isn't it weird it kept happening to all of them and any server they were in charge of
