JAMES HAS DONE IT AGAIN. a cultural reset. sigourney weaver delivers a commanding performance playing herself as a teenager. i felt transported to another god damn world which made me believe even just for a moment that whales are real.ย

i genuinely mean all of this that movie kicked ass. there is a reason james cameron is one of the greatest action directors in the medium and this movie has all of the shit heโ€™s best at, INCLUDING A SHIPWRECK!ย

peak cinema. actually though, i love how these movies are only this good in a theater, in large formats. jimmy GETS it yโ€™all. and also somehow 3 and a half hours in and not only do i want more movie but iโ€™m left with a bunch of very intriguing questions that shit! maybe iโ€™ll get answers to them in like 3 years!!

the sea connects all things before your birth and after your death unless youโ€™re a poacher in which case the sea beats your entire ass and cuts your fucking arm off with a steel cable. thanks james.
