since i don't use the last.fm widget (or last.fm at all, i'm a boomer who won't change their foobar2000 setup), i figured i'd do a rundown of some of the music i've been listening to lately!

spoiler alert: it's mostly small punk bands

the usual suspects

i am unfortunately a chronic Single Genre Enjoyer, which is to say that i pretty much only listen to small punk bands lmao

recently, i've been listening to a lot of Grumpster's discography:

  • Underwhelmed (2019) is a series of catchy tracks about being completely done with life - favourite song is Put Me to Sleep

put me to sleep, maybe then i'll regain function

  • KAIROS (2017) is my favourite track of theirs, absolute banger

just us, good times - so i guess i'll ask will you be mine?

one of my favourite bands, Fresh, recently put out Raise Hell, with a bunch of songs that are a great refinement of their sound, and some slightly different ones. favourite song from this one is probably Fuck Up

dreaming of leaving this place that i have now outgrown - but i can't muster it up

i also rediscovered (read: forgot to add to my Spotify likes and then forgot when i moved to local music) Butch Baby, an artist who unfortunately only has one EP, Stoned Butch Blues (2018), which is a shame because it absolutely rips. favourite song is easily TERF Bangs, hits hard (CW for SA-related lyrics)

there's no telling if it's me or if it's you that's insane, so ask yourself - is it me or is it you that's in pain?

something different

shockingly, i have actually been listening to some slightly different genres lately!

i rediscovered Sir Chloe, and i've been listening to their EP Party Favors (2020) a lot. bit more of a pop/grunge vibe i suppose - favourite track is probably Too Close

fragile like i've never seen, you're pretty when you do not speak

finally, i've (naturally) been listening to the soundtrack to ULTRAKILL ACT II - IMPERFECT HATRED. hakita absolutely goated for being able to develop such a good game while also being such a good composer - if you haven't, please play ultrakill. favourite track is easily The Death of God's Will

in reply to @kaezone's post:

if you want to you can set up lastfm scrobblers for foobar both on desktop and mobile. i cant remember from the top of my head whats the best way to do it on desktop but on android pano scrobbler as an external app works perfectly with foobar
