in the spirit of my previous post about music, i wanted to shout out a couple more bands i recently rediscovered!
tsuchinoko radio - formative calluses (2019) is this band's only EP, and it means a hell of a lot to me, particularly the title track. i listened to it over and over again when i was an angsty mentally ill trans high schooler (aka 3 years ago) and it still strikes a chord with me - i've got a lot of scars and calluses, physical and not, and i wouldn't change them for anything.
i know this might sound a little strange - the calluses left behind, i want them to remain
joyride! - miracle question (2022) is this band's most recent album after 6 years, and oh boy was i blindsided when it came out. joyride! was another one of my high school angst bands, and i'm extremely happy they're making music again - i had a great time sitting down and listening to this album front to back.
