the whole mess that is F1 for the past year has really got me wondering - what drives people to become batshit conspiracy theorists about the most mundane shit?
to preface, i'm not a fan of RBR at all, in fact my favourite team is Haas (lmao). i just don't understand why people get so absolutely frothy over them. it's entirely reasonable to just dislike a team and its drivers based on vibes, there's not much point in trying to generate conspiracy theories that they somehow run the FIA
AD21 had a shit ending because the RD (who was shit for many other reasons) wanted good television, not because of a bias for... an energy drinks company. the flexi-floor directive resulted in an even stronger RBR lead because it didn't affect them at all. there would be literally no reason for Yuki to crash intentionally when RBR already had the championship on lock. and if i had to guess, the cost-cap analysis will show RBR only went over by a marginal amount - they certainly won't revoke a WDC over it, considering the WCC is what actually matters to teams
i just honestly, genuinely, do not get it. maybe it's because i'm new to the series and don't have a stan-esque love for any drivers, but i have no idea what drives people to get this frothy over things that have zero material effect on them, especially when its about cars going in circles
