good evening cohost . i have acquired a free tub of b/w film chem and equipment and have no idea what to do with it - i've been planning on getting into film for a while but now i have to actually get a camera and shit

i'm also wondering whether this chem will even still be good? i've got Ilford's LC29, Rapid Fixer, and Ilfostop - the concentrate bottles are all half-full and i have no idea how long ago they were opened, and there's also three amber plastic bottles of pre-diluted chem that i assume are basically junk by now. any advice would be appreciated

not sure how much i’d trust it, personally - half-used LC29, after a year or so of sitting in a bottle, is going to give you a hard time. really, any of it, once the bottle’s been opened.

my fav way to develop b&w film is stand or semi-stand (you agitate the tank maybe twice throughout the whole process) with rodinal. it’s cheap and you dilute the hell out of it, a bottle’s gonna last you a while!
