They just kinda...want them there. The nostrils are even on their 70s cars, and they're just as ugly there. You'd think the badge would be enough to say it's a bimmer, but their marketers disagree.

combo of factors: wealth is shifting to younger, more assertive, less "class-motivated" money - in other words, fuck you money, with fuck you styling. also, dickheads love BMWs, and that M4 CSL is perfect for those kinds of people lmao

I've been calling it pug-like, really, like the poor car is getting its hood blunted in for aesthetic purposes and people are worried the poor thing can't breathe.
