kind of bummed that i cannot find a replacement pan insert for this zojirushi rice cooker anywhere and that it might just be garbage

make rice on a regular pot, rice cookers seem very convenient but once you make good traditional rice you won't wanna come back

Did you ever find a replacement for this? I'm looking for a new rice cooker and this post made me realize that most of the bowls on the Zojirushi parts site are OOS, including the very popular ZCC-10. I may end up getting a Tiger instead just based on that, since my old $20 Zojirushi

(I did find the part number for yours, as I imagine you also did, and it was OOS on the japan Zojirushi site + could not find replacements elsewhere)

nope, i never did.
tbf, this kind of degradation took a decade and a half and, frankly, misuse (it came from a friend who is very lax with cleaning & using proper utensils with non-stick). the (smaller) zojirushi i’ve owned since 2012 is still in great condition.
