I love how Jerid spends his time on the show being this loser who can't move on, can't become more despite possibly if-you-interpret-it-in-that-way being a Newtype, declares himself to be a man who can't move on without defeating Kamille... All for a rival who ultimately feels nothing more at his death than another casualty being added to the tally. Tries to link himself to Kamille with his dying breath and it goes completely denied. This is why I love to hate Jerid so much.

it's honestly one of my favourite recurring Gundam bits, one rival has made its their life's mission to cast the other into the fires of hell at any cost, and then after they get brutally killed the other rival is like "huh, wonder who that was", it's really funny every time
