New survey! In the past we've talked about card games and visual novels. It's been a blast seeing everyone's recommendations in the comments section.
So here's a new informal survey for you all: what are some indie games that you love that you feel like most people don't talk about? What indie games do you wish got more attention than they do?
Many of us have heard of the Stardews and Hades of the world. Give a shout-out to a lesser-known gem, I'd love to check them out.
I am absolutely constantly riding the train of raving about this obscure steam gem, a complex puzzle game inspired by the likes of Chip's Challenge and most especially Tower of the Sorceror, with a hideously complex possibility space and a gigantic metagame that encourages you to return to towers again and again to re-optimize them with better stats. The developers aren't exaggerating when they say it easily has over a thousand hours of playtime. If you like optimization puzzles and experimentation, outside of the box thinking and theorycrafting, this game is hideously addictive. And - there's a demo available that's got like a solid 20 hours of gameplay in and of itself, so it's pretty easy to test out and see if it's your jam.
I am obsessed with this game.
