I love this portrayal of surgical recovery and its adjustment process. I really relate to this character's thought process in going through it - and a lot of the feelings which we see from them in the immediate post-surgery are feelings which I've personally wondered about time and time again. I love what we see about this character along the way, too. This is affirming, aspirational stuff to read. I love it.
I'm glad I could do the character justice without personally having those experiences, I'm glad you enjoyed :)
