and honestly this is significantly better than the scaler I tried before albeit still subject to platform limitations

the previous one would only change player viewpoint on resetting the avatar's state, which created some situations where i'd swap scales, people would interact with the new one while i was still fiddling trying to perform the reset

this one correctly adjusts player viewpoint in terms of height without a reset, but not inter-pupillary distance (so if growing, your paws end up looking a lot bappier than they should be until you reset - pictured here, badly)
it also has a lot of features for faking full body tracking (including significantly better crouch options than VRC provides by default... and flying options that seem to send me through the floor consistently)

vrcfury also alleviates my biggest worry from breaking a different avatar - it uninstalls cleanly rather than completely breaking the t-pose and so breaking avatar scaling through @pinball's tool (although the previous scaler also has a vrcfury prefab which I suspect would also cleanly uninstall, and I suspect gogoloco would be a nightmare to uninstall if installed manually)

in reply to @Dex's post:

i've been testing out vrcfury lately more myself as well, the Direct Tree Optimizer did not work without also letting Fix Write Defaults do its work, even though i didn't want it to at first, so more testing to see if more is broken there

but Anchor Override Fix and Blendshape Optimizer are both very low hanging fruits i'm glad to see, especially in the avatars i often use which have many customization blendshapes i never touch (now if only there was a way to force every single rex avatar to make use of the blendshape one in particular...)

the gogoloco scaler was one i tried as well some months back, but at the time it did also require a reset and i wasn't happy with it or how heavy a package it was, i have worries it will also add significant lag to others with so many options. i'd be interested to know if we can get the gogoloco scaling isolated from the rest of the system and installable with vrcfury, though :3

There's a GGL scaling only prefab for VRCFury, but I don't know how much of the other junk it still brings with. But yeah, that test was only scaling and I feel like some of VRCFury's other options might help out with a few other things on mine - specifically it was made with separate skinned mesh renderers for the bag/shirt/shoes and fixing it with CATS requires making some other changes.

I'm interested in GGL's other options because of a specific thing I want to do for Furality Sylva that would be a lot better with floating, though if it adds a lot of lag to others I'll have to reconsider and just use an OVR AS offset or something.

things like direct blend trees and vrchat also soon using constraints as an input for performance have put more of a spotlight on CPU frame time, i spent most of furality luma festival in a soapcat base i had optimized and chances are i'll be doing the same in future such events, with occasional bouts of being Really Big otherwise

also, have a link to the ggl scaling only prefab?
