In retrospect, the line between ableism and people just giving me shit for genuinely immature behaviour was really, really blurred at times.

Like, as an autistic kid who was mostly being taught how to mask in a school setting rather than actually have healthy interpersonal relationships and manage my emotions well, there was a ton of unjustifiable bullshit thrown my way — usually directly intertwined with reasonable, if not correct, criticisms of my behaviour.
