a lack of explicit "metrics" for posts (posts are humans talking to humans, keep in mind, so metrics are full-on bananas) is neat because it makes it harder for people to be like "how come you always like this person's posts but not miiiiiiiiine", or as i like to call it, surveillance narcissism
