retirement home for elder millenials
You're not wrong, but the number of people who are basically (if not literally) zoomers who are here because the rest of Onlineβ’ is insufferable is, like, a lot!

Hey, you, who's reading this in the future: you can find out who I am today at https://rarf.zone/about/. π

These days, yeah! But shit was it the fucking Thunderdome for a while back there.
oh god, yeah. There's still echos and reverberations of some of it, too, and it looked WILD
(I'm a pre-twitter-implosion person, myself, but way too late for the Wild period.)
It wasn't quite as traumatic for me as being deeply immersed in "Goons who were starting to get fed up with LF and FYAD" Twitter in 2011β2012, but it was in a close second. β οΈ
Once again, I'm so late to things I'm not just strolling in to find a scorched and blasted wasteland, but strolling in to find that grass and plants have started reclaiming the ruins
Oh, the ruins started to recover many years ago. β¦honestly, the porn ban probably chased a lot of people off there for reasons entirely tangential to banning porn, and I think some of those people kinda fucked up both Twitter and Mastodon in novel, fascinating ways?
I didn't intend it as a personal subpost as much as a remark about something I've seen a lot on here. fjshfjshdj
I'm sure it's substantiated, statistically!
oh yeah no don't worry, I didn't read it like that or anything.
Also: at this point, given how it's been misused, Millennial is basically more like a state of mind, really
Makes sense; "boomer" is definitely a state of mind more than a certain generation
i'm only 26 i just have an ancient, tired soul so i get along better with the tired millenials
