that's the end of my FA discord snooping. it's pretty clear the owners just want to push this rule through. they are not interested in opening a larger venue of discussion, and dismiss the current one as just a handful of loud dissenters. i would say wait for their clarification post before making any big moves, but it might not be a bad idea to reserve your username on a different gallery site :/

btw if you want to help push back against this bullshit at all, join the discord. despite saying i was done, i'm still in there pushing today. there's a thread called UP 2.7 Discussion about the rule change. hop in and say anything. be courteous, mods are blind to anything slightly disrespectful. they might say they're not listening, but every time we ask the mods a question the rule changes a little bit. it might still be worth it to say your piece. here's the link

i WISH there was an accessible list of image hosts/galleries that one could use to find something that best suits their needs, because the only shit i know of is Furaffinity, DeviantArt, and Itaku (where Itaku i remember went through some nazi drama or some shit i don't remember whether it got resolved or not, DeviantArt is DeviantArt, and Furaffinity is currently undergoing major Volumetric Shit Decompression)

any indication in there as to whether on-site feedback tickets actually get read or have any impact at all? i submitted a long, thorough ticket the other day explaining all the reasons it's a bad rule, and at this point i've burned myself out emotionally over all this to the point i don't think i can also go immerse myself in the discord conversation too. and i definitely don't have it in me to be civil or courteous about it rn lmao

i'm gonna be honest, i doubt they get read. that was dragoneer's line for the longest time, "have a problem? write a ticket :)" and then those tickets sit unanswered for years until the problem is come and gone. BUT they seem to be paying attention while pretending not to be currently. i think the reaction has caught them completely off-guard and they're trying really hard to save face. i really can't say with certainty, but i hope your ticket does get read!

if nothing else, even if nobody actually reads any of the damn things, i can at least hope that the sheer number of "hey dipshits you're fucking up" subject lines on top of the amount of pushback on every other vector will accomplish something. at this point i'm well past the point of trusting FA anymore and am looking into other places to centralize my art presence; but for the sake of the almost 20 years of furry art history that stupid fuckin place contains that this rule will take an axe to, i still don't have it in me to just give up completely. thank you to y'all in there fighting the good fight
