20 years too late to ask me to make my first avatar. been making avatars for forums for decades, and then second life. do not ask me to read the ancient texts, i was there when they were written.
You say that like you don't want to create your first avatar thereby being your expressive self even when you don't want to be on camera etc.

I actually tried this because what else was I going to do while in that meeting? and I entirely failed to create anything that looked even remotely like me. Somehow it has both too many and not enough options.
